About

August 18th, 2011

The Taiwanese American Students’ Association is a not-for-profit organization providing events and resources that explore and celebrate Taiwanese American identity in order to inspire, empower, and activate its community.

TASA aims to explore the perspectives that exist within the Taiwanese American Identity

  • Inspire our participants to think about their identity, how it relates to the world, and what place they have in it
  • Empower our participants with the resources to further develop their personal identities wherever they may go
  • Activate our community, creating a voice that represents us in larger arenas, that will make Taiwanese Americans an influential force in society
  • Build unity and relationships amongst the members

The 2011 – 2012 TASA Memberships are $20 for the entire year. You can pay at any time, and will allow you to attend all of our events for free. Along with that, you’ll also receive a free t-shirt. If you plan on being a member, we would suggest you pay early in the year so you can attend more events for free. Normal rate for non-members is $3 for most events.

What kind of events do we have, you might ask. We have been working hard during the summer trying to set up a tentative schedule for the entire year so you guys will know what to expect. Here is what we have planned so far for the year:
